Ted Andrus
Ted Andrus has been an active member of the Search and Rescue community for more than 25 years beginning with cave rescue with the National Cave Rescue Commission and Search and Rescue with the former Bridgewater Tactical Rescue Team. Ted is a life member of Rockingham-Augusta Search and Rescue and, a life member and former director of the Search and Rescue Tracking Institute.
Ted is a former Course Coordinator for the VDEM - FTS program and a former teaching assistant at the Nature & Vision Tracking School.
After completing Basic Search and Rescue Training with the Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM) in 1993, Ted went on to study a variety of tracking related skills with:

His tracking interests began during his adolescent years in the Adirondack Mountains of northern New York when it was still possible to find wolf and moose sign. Ted cut his human tracking teeth in the 1980's with members of the former Virginia Tracking Association and a lose band of trackers from Central Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley.
Ted is a current Instructor for VDEM in the Foundations for Awareness, Signcutting, and Tracking (FAST) program. He resides in South Carolina and is always ready to help students of natural awareness and tracking grow their skills.
